IPELS 2007: Welcome
Welcome from IPELS 2007 Chair
The 9th International Workshop on the Interrelationship between Plasma Experiments in Laboratory and Space (IPELS 2007) will be held in Cairns, Australia from 5th - 10th August 2007. This workshop is the ninth in a series of biennial meetings established to stimulate the exchange of insights into the relationship between physical process of plasmas and phenomena observed in experiments in the laboratory and in space.
The workshop will be at the Palm Cove Resort, just north of Cairns in tropical north Queensland, Australia. Situated in an unspoilt tropical paradise, the workshop venue is surrounded by lush tropical rainforest and the aqua blue waters of the Coral Sea. From there, you can easily access the beachside village of Palm Cove as well as take a boat trip out to the Great Barrier Reef or picturesque Green Island.
With great pleasure, we invite you to attend and contribute to the workshop. IPELS 2007 will consist of plenary talks and a broad range of sessions. In addition to the oral presentations, this workshop will also include a series of poster sessions.
Looking forward to seeing you in Cairns this August,
Professor Rod Boswell
Chair - IPELS 2007 Organising Committee
